Credentials

  • Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology
  • Master of Physical Therapy

Alex obtained his Master of Physical Therapy degree at Western University in 2021. Prior to his Physiotherapy degree he completed his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Brock University where he graduated with First Class status. Alex is devoted to lifelong learning and is actively working through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program. He also has aspirations to become a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT).

During his time at Western, Alex gained invaluable experience through comprehensive academic and clinical education from leaders in the field of Physiotherapy. He collaborated with research supervisors and colleagues to conduct a scoping review of the current literature on clinically meaningful subjective history questions for acute knee injuries. He was privileged to complete clinical placements in acute medicine where he treated a variety of cardiopulmonary conditions within our public health care system, and in private outpatient orthopaedic clinics that bolstered his ability to deliver evidence-based musculoskeletal care within a patient-centred model. Alex also spent time working in a robust post-surgical orthopaedic program where he developed an extensive understanding for rehabilitation of different post-surgical cases with an emphasis on total hip and knee arthroplasty management. Alex is excited to bring his eclectic knowledge base of acute/chronic musculoskeletal care, a proficiency for management of postoperative surgical patients as well as a drive to help others to Elora Physiotherapy.

Alex is passionate about the field of physiotherapy and he employs empowering education grounded in an evidence-based approach to facilitate patient goals. His focus incorporates manual therapy techniques in combination with advanced exercise prescription to help his patients maximize their full active potential. Alex will also be completing continuing education courses for Acupuncture & Dry Needling and specialized musculoskeletal rehabilitation to further strengthen his provision of quality care.

Outside of the clinic, Alex works with the Elora Rocks Men’s Hockey Team providing on-site trainer coverage. He also enjoys staying active through running, working out and playing various sports. He loves to play hockey, tennis and to rollerblade with his friends!
