Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment technique which addresses the body’s soft tissues (muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints). This form of therapeutic treatment has an effect on one’s body and overall well-being by acting on the musculoskeletal, nervous and circulatory systems.

Registered Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a manual treatment technique that addresses the soft tissues of the body. The Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario defines massage therapy as a “clinically-oriented healthcare option to help alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions. Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) work with a wide variety of patients in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability.”. Our RMTs are dedicated to help alleviate your pain and discomfort, help you work towards your goals and provide some much needed calm and relaxation to your day.
Cupping on patient
Cupping
Cupping is a soft tissue tool where cups are placed on the skin and suction is applied. The suction is used to separate the soft tissue layers, improve local circulation, and relax the nervous system. The style of cupping we provide uses plastic cups and the application of a suction via a pump.

Our therapists use cupping to assist them in treating tight muscles, fascial restrictions, and trigger points. Therapists also use cupping to treat conditions like plantar fasciitis and tendonopathies.
