2022 is well underway, and many of us are tackling our new year’s resolutions. For some, this might mean getting off the couch from our current Netflix obsession and to start hitting the road running! 

At Elora Physiotherapy, we have designed a program for anyone who loves to run and for those looking to start running.  For those new runners this program is geared towards building a solid running foundation and for those seasoned runners this program is great for hitting those 2022 personal best goals! 

For each client, we will begin with a detailed assessment.  This includes taking a detailed history and identifying your running goals.  Next, we will look at your movement patterns and assess your baseline strength levels for running.  Finally, we will get you on the treadmill and watch you run!  Based on the assessment findings, an individualized training plan will be created.  Your plan may consist of cues to improve your running techniques, implementation of a targeted strengthening program, mobility work, education on proper footwear or a combination of any of the above.  Together with your therapist, a treatment plan will be created that is specific to you and your goals.  Let’s get you running your best in 2022!
